_Great Harvest Bread Company began over 30 years ago when the company’s founders, Pete and Laura Wakeman opened a roadside stand in Dunham, Connecticut and began selling fresh ground whole wheat bread. The first Great harvest Bread Co. was opened in 1976, and is still in business today. The company has grown to about 200 stores, most with local owners. The Rochester, NY Great Harvest Bread stores were originally founded as Montana Mills Bread stores. We still offer the fabulous Montana Mills recipes, as well as an integration of Great Harvest's best recipies.
